PROGRESS REPORTS
KTBYTE will e-mail parents with behavior and grade progess reports.
COMPLETION CERTIFICATES
Students can request a certificate of completion once they finish each course.
Class Description:
KTBYTE is proud to support students who wish to participate in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) contest. Students will take the contest online the week of May 20. Unlike other contests like the USA Computing Olympiad (USACO) and Australian Informatics Open (AIO), the CAT does not involve any programming- only algorithmic problem-solving (see example problem below).
This CAT Support Class includes study materials, an information session, and competition registration and proctoring:
- Lesson 1 - General information about the CAT, including skills required, schedule, format, content, preparation timeline, etc.
- Lesson 2 - The contest takes 60 minutes to complete. See class offering lesson time below for when students can join to take the contest.
Contest administration: Students will join an online classroom with KTBYTE instructors on the contest date to make sure they are able to easily join and complete the contest.
Both lessons are live online and run in English- we will also provide support and Q+A in Mandarin. All students will be registered to participate in the CAT competition and receive a recording of the information session.
